Katie Cree quarter winner

Katie was recognised for her outstanding contribution towards her work at the Chorley practice and her overall commitment to Ravat & Ray Dental Care. Katie has set very high professional standard and consistently demonstrates a caring attitude. Prepared to go that extra mile for patients, Katie always takes the time to reassure the more nervous and anxious patients. During the first 3 months of 2014 she went above and beyond expectations by organising a charity trek to help raise funds for Bridge2aid, a charity close to all our hearts. Katie was always happy to help and has a positive and proactive attitude towards her work which reflects the high standard expected of all Ravat & Ray employees. Although Katie was only been employed with Ravat & Ray Dental Care for 10 months she has made an impact on the company.

Employee of the Quarter April to June 2014 – Vicky Metcalfe
Vicky Metcalfe

Vicky was recognised for her outstanding contribution towards her work within practice and her overall commitment to Ravat & Ray Dental Care. Vicky has been described as the ‘Practice Manager’s right hand person’. At times whilst the practice manager is away from the practice Vicky is quick to ensure that any issues are resolved as quickly as possible with no hesitation or disruption. Staff within the Deane practice can approach Vicky for advice and support and it is felt she is a member of staff that can always be relied upon. Vicky undertakes accurate stock control within the practice. As a result of Vicky using her own initiative she opened extra clinics for the specialist MOS dentist therefore increasing sessions which enabled patients within the area to gain increased access to the service. The increase in sessions has subsequently supported the practice in increasing revenue. From the onset of the MOS service at Deane, Vicky has taken the lead, including invoicing, stocking and ensuring patients are booked in within a timely manner. Vicky has proven she can organise the service efficiently without any disruptions.

Alex Crompton

Alex has been recognised for her outstanding contribution towards her work and overall commitment to Ravat & Ray Dental Care. Alex has been described as ‘a polite and very helpful person’ within the practice. Alex always goes above and beyond her regular duties and has recently provided staffing cover at a number of Ravat & Ray practices, which involved further travelling via train or bus.

No matter what the task Alex is always happy to help offering her skills where needed. Alex has signed to help support Bridge2Aid in 2015, meaning she will relocate to Tanzania, Africa for 2 weeks. During her time in Tanzania she will provide the local community with vital oral health advice, assist dentist’s with limited tools to provide necessary dental treatment, as well as help provide advice to the dental team resident in Tanzania on how to care for patients in the best possible way.

Jenny Straszak

Jenny has been recognised for her outstanding contribution towards her work within the Chorley practice and her overall commitment to Ravat & Ray Dental Care. Jenny has been described as ‘a very helpful member of the team and always helps out when needed’. Jenny always goes above and beyond in her regular duties and has recently requested by her own initiative to help cover practices when they are in need. Stepping into help, Jenny has set very high professional standards within the practice and consistently demonstrates a caring attitude to both staff and patients.

Prepared to go that extra mile, Jenny has recently acted as Practice Manager within the Chorley practice whilst the organisation found the ideal candidate for the practice. All members of the Head Office team appreciate the help that Jenny has provided and can see that her progression within the practice has been a great success.
