Ravat & Ray Dental Care, Ormskirk is located within the West Lancashire Health Centre at the Ormskirk & District General Hospital on the outskirts of the Ormskirk Town Centre. The practice has been a member of BDA Good Practice Scheme for standards in excellence since 2011.
It is a state-of-the-art practice comprising of five surgeries, all of which are fully computerised including the use of digital x-rays and an OPG (fully mouth and jaw x-ray) machine. It has fully separate NHS regulations, compliant decontamination rooms and equipment. The Practice also boasts excellent disabled facilities with ramp access, automatic doors and a disabled toilet facility. We offer all NHS treatments and a comprehensive range of private treatments including Invisible Braces, Dental Implants, Tooth Whitening and White Fillings. From 1st September 2015 West Lancashire Health Centre, Ormskirk Hospital will no longer be able to validate patients tickets, which allowed free use of the car park.

Stephanie has 8 years’ experience of working within the dental environment; she always delivers high standards of customer service and professionalism. Stephanie has worked in both busy NHS and private practices over the years and also enjoys mentoring and training staff. Stephanie has a NVQ qualification Level 3 in Customer Service and hopes to continue her professional development with Ravat & Ray Dental Care. Stephanie joined the team at Ormskirk in February 2015.
In her spare time Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family and socialising with friends.
Vanesha Nosib BDS – London 2001 – GDC Registration Number – 70790
Vanesha has over 13 years’ experience as a dentist after qualifying in 2001 from Kings College London. She has worked in both NHS and private practices in the North West of England after completing her Vocational Training in East Sussex. She has been a Vocational Trainer with the Mersey Deanery scheme since 2013. In 2010 she completed her MJDF (Member of Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons) as well as the Advanced Certificate in Facilitated Learning in Healthcare Practice at UCLAN (University of Central Lancashire). She is an honorary tutor for Liverpool University and supervises our student dental therapists who work within the practice.
In her spare time Vanesha enjoys travelling and spending time with her family.
Rachel Williams BDS, Liverpool University 2014 GDC number: 250966
Before studying dentistry Rachel qualified as an operating department practitioner providing high standards of patient care and skilled support over a wide range of theatre specialities.
Qualified from University of Liverpool in 2014 and then completed her foundation year in Southport, gaining experience in all aspects of dentistry.
Rachel enjoys all aspects of dentistry, especially getting to know patients and making them feel at ease during treatment.
She enjoys attending a variety of courses to improve her skills and is in the process of taking the MJDF exams to become member of The Royal College of Surgeons of England.
In her spare time Rachel likes to keep fit and enjoys running.
Claire Louise Uttley BDS, Liverpool University 2013 GDC number: 108829
Claire started working within dentistry as a dental nurse 10 years ago, her enthusiasm for excellent patient care and dentistry saw her train to become a dentist. Claire enjoys all aspects of dentistry and has a particular interest in oral surgery, endodontics, cosmetic dentistry and sedation.
She also enjoys working with nervous patients and making them feel at ease in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Claire has completed Part 1 of her MJDF post graduate examination and is hoping to complete Part 2 in the near future. She is currently undertaking training in the placement and restoration of implants and hopes to be able to provide these to her patients soon.
She is also hoping to study further within the areas of oral surgery, aesthetic dentistry and short term orthodontics.
Outside of work Claire enjoys spending time with her family, meeting up with her friends and going for long walks with her dog Lottie.

Amy graduated from the University of Manchester in 2015 and completed her foundation year training on the Wirral, where she gained experience in all aspects of NHS and private dentistry.
She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, most importantly making patients feel comfortable and providing the highest quality of care for her patients.
She is currently undergoing further examinations to become a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery.
Outside of her work Amy enjoys baking, sports, spending time with her family and friends as well as walking her new puppy.

Air Flow Therapy
Air Flow Therapy is a hygiene cleaning treatment that uses a mixture of air, jet water and sodium bicarbonate to polish and clean your teeth. The treatment is not a chemical treatment and therefore, there will be no risk to the patients for any irritation or chemical burns. Air Flow Therapy is an advanced version of a scaling and polish treatment, but the patient will walk away the same day with amazing, clean results. Air Flow Therapy appointments generally last between 30 and 45 minutes. This treatment can be carried out by the Dentist or via Direct Access by the Hygienist/Therapist. How does direct access work?
Our Dental Hygienists and Dental Therapists are permitted to treat patients without a prior examination by a dentist. This means that we can now welcome patients who only want to see our Dental Hygienist without having to register with the Dentists and have an examination beforehand. If our Dental Hygienist or Dental Therapist feels that you would benefit from a dental examination by a dentist, you will be advised of this.
