Ravat & Ray are all smiles with prize-winning oral health display!
Ravat & Ray Dental Care in Farnworth have become prize winners as part of National Smile Month- the largest and longest-running campaign to promote good oral health.
Together, with thousands of individuals and organisations, it highlights three key messages, all of which go a long way in helping us develop and maintain a healthy mouth. They are:
- Brush your teeth last thing at night and on at least one other occasion with a fluoride toothpaste.
- Cut down on how much sugary food and drink you have, and how often you have them.
- Visit your dentist regularly, as often as they recommend.
Ultimately, the aim is to help us achieve good physical and mental wellbeing by improving our oral health.
This year, Ravat & Ray Dental Care have been supporting the campaign by creating informative and imaginative displays in their practices. They aim to educate, motivate and communicate positive oral health messages in Bolton and beyond to improve the quality of smiles in their local communities.
Bolton NHS Foundation Trusts Oral Health Improvement Team hold an annual competition across the Bolton area where they judge the displays, focusing on the three key messages of National Smile Month. This year, the winner was dental nurse Janet Marsden from Ravat & Ray Farnworth, with her spectacular display (pictured).
Speaking of her success, Janet said: “It’s an amazing feeling to have won, I can’t believe it! I love my work so much and I am glad that I am given opportunities to do things I enjoy like making displays”.
