Dementia Friendly

Practice Manager, Kassie Campbell and Dental Nurse,  Rebecca Whitehead have been given the opportunity of becoming Dementia Champions for the organisation as well as Dementia Friends for the Fitton Hill, Oldham practice. They have been able to offer drop in sessions for advice regarding dementia and if necessary patients have been referred to the healthy living team for any further investigations.

The Fitton Hill team have been holding training sessions with others practices within the organisation, as well as within the local community regarding dementia and the effects this has on both the patients and their families. This allows the community to gain vital information on signs to spot dementia and how organisations are now available to support them.

As an organisation all of our practices are now dementia friendly with at least one dementia friend in every practice. Dental Nurse, Rebecca Whitehead, provided dementia friends training to all Ravat & Ray Dental Care Practice Managers so they too understand how they can make their practice easily accessible to dementia sufferers and their families.

If you would like to speak to our Dementia Champion Rebecca Whitehead, please contact our Fitton Hill practice on 0161 622 4380.

Alternatively you can seek advice from the Dementia Friends website.
